The.only note of interest is the non-binding referendum on a billionaire tax.
Last time Illinois voters were asked to consider replacing the flat tax with something more progressive, the wealthy folks financed an aggressive ad campaign that convinced gullible/cynical blue collar voters that it would raise their taxes as well.
This new proposal precludes that by saying that half of the additional income generated would be used to reduce the taxes of everyone else.
That sounds a bit complicated, however, so the intellectually challenged may still vote it down.
